Mindful coloring

Make your own designs for coloring books.

Coloring by hand is a well-loved way to unwind. Cattail.Nu Mandala Art Creator lets you design the outline yourself, so the page you color was made by you from the very first line.

Why design your own page

A printed coloring book gives you a fixed set of pages. When you build the page yourself, every ring, shape, and pattern is exactly what you wanted to sit with.

Build the outline

Use black strokes with no fill (or "Use Original" on bundled line-art shapes) so every shape stays open for coloring later.

Keep it symmetrical

Rings of repeating shapes naturally create the kind of balanced pattern that's satisfying to color in, section by section.

Set your export size

Choose the pixel size for your PNG or JPG export — a larger size prints cleaner detail on a full page.

Export and print

Export as PNG or JPG for home printing, or as SVG if you want to bring it into a print-layout program first.

Start from a built-in design

Not sure where to begin? Open the Gallery and load one of the 44 built-in designs, then adjust it — swap a shape, change the ring count, or add a layer of your own.

Many of the gallery designs are already clean outline art, ready to print and color as they are.

A gentle, repetitive practice

Designing a mandala and coloring one share the same rhythm: place a shape, repeat it, move to the next ring. Whether you're building the page or filling it in with color, it's a practice many people find settling — no clock, no goal beyond the next ring.
